One in five Canadians suffers from chronic pain. Managing pain is a difficult and often lengthy quest, with its share of unanswered questions. The Internet is an unlimited source of content on many topics including pain and pain management. However, it is more difficult to know the source and to ensure the reliability of this content.

This finding prompted the Quebec Pain Research Network (QPRN), the Centre Hospitalier de l'Université Laval (CHUL), Université TELUQ and the Quebec Association for Chronic Pain (AQDC) to create an educational and training resources portal. This group, in collaboration with three patient partners, has set itself the objective of facilitating access for patients, caregivers and health professionals to reliable and validated information.
